Q: Can this be used for wet cat food?
A: The feeder is suitable for dry food ONLY, with kibble size ranging from 2-15mm / 0.07-0.6 inch in diameter. Larger kibble may get stuck at the food outlet.
Q: For the dual bowl feeder, does the portion setting apply to each bowl individually or split between both bowls?
A: The portion setting is split between both bowls, with the distribution depending on how you adjust the meal splitter.
Q: Can it work for larger dogs?
A: This would be more suited for small or medium pets.
Q: What is the maximum number of times can food come out per meal?
A: Up to 50 portions per meal.
Q: How much volume is in each portion?
A: Each portion is about 20ml/10g ≈ 1/12 cup
Q: How many cups does it dispense a day?
A: 1 portion is 0.08 cup. 50 servings(4 cups) a meal, and up to 6 meals each day. Total is 24 cups.
Q: How long will the desiccant bag work?
A: It is recommended to change the desiccant bag every 15 days to prevent mold growth.
Q: Can portions be different for different times of feeding?
A: Yes. Each feeding can be a different portion size.
Q: Can cat shake the feeder to get more food out?
A: The dispenser used in our product is fully enclosed, which can effectively avoid the problem of shaking and falling food.
Q: Can it run on battery power only without the power plug, or is the battery only for backup in case the power goes out?
A: To avoid sudden power outage and the feeding of your pet is affected, do not use the batteries as the only source to power the feeder, the batteries can only be used as an emergency plan. When feeder is powered only by batteries, the WiFi function, camera function, record button and reset button would be disabled to extend the working time, the meal schedules will be carried out normally.
Q: Is the bowl removable?
A: Yes, it is removable.
Q: Can I read the video files by PC/phone?
A: For privacy, the video files in the microSD card can only be checked through the Replay section in the APP, and can not be read by PC/phone.
Q: How often should I change the filters? Where to get them?
A: Please replace the filter every 2 weeks to keep the water fresh.
Q: How long does it last before you have to re-fill it?
A: Depends on your pet. For some customers having 2 cats, they add water every other day.
Q: What if water keeps spilling out of water tray?
A: The filter may not be fully soaked. Please soak the filter in a clean bowl (not in water tank) for 5 minutes before the first use.
Q: Am I required to use the filter if I already have pure water that will be used in the water fountain?
A: One of the reasons you need the filter is because your pet will be drinking from it and the water is recycled through the filter to keep the water clear of debris such as pet fur and pet saliva too.
Q: What if the water pump stops working?
A: 1) Fill in water between MIN and MAX. The pump will fail if it runs dry. 2) Clean the pump, water tank, and drinking basin. 3) If the above solutions don't work, please contact us at help@petlibro.com.
Q: Why do I need to soak the filter before first use?
A: The filters absorb more water (and therefore clean more water) when they're wet and expanded. Soaking the filter removes particulate matter that may have settled on the filter.
Q: What if the water output speed slows down?
A: 1) For the first use (or reuse after long-time storage), the water pump needs to discharge air, it's normal if the water output speed slows down. 2) It is dirt in the pump, please refer to "How to Clean the Pump" in the manual to clean it.
Q: Does this turn off automatically?
A: Yes. For safety reasons, the Water Fountain will shut off automatically when there is insufficient water.
For Feeder
1. Use alkaline D batteries as an emergency plan. Do NOT use rechargeable batteries.
2. Batteries are not included.
3. We support microSD card capacity 16-256GB, speed Class10 or above, and suggest brands like Samsung and SanDisk.
For Fountain
1. Replace the filter and the foam filter at least once every 2 weeks.
2. Clean the pump and fountain at least once every 2 weeks.
3. To extend the life of pump, please add water before starting the machine.
4. Not dishwasher safe.
5. Not recommended for kittens under 3 months old or large dogs.
