Yes. We recommend calibrating the scale each time the feeder is disassembled and reassembled. The scale supports a maximum load of 7.5 kg, helping ensure accurate food tracking and gram-level consumption insights.
The maximum is 6 portions per dispense. One portion is approximately 20 ml or 10 g, which is about 1/12 cup.
No. The Granary 2 Series is designed for dry kibble only.
For best performance, kibble should be between 2 mm and 15 mm in size. Oversized or irregularly shaped pieces, such as cubes larger than 9 mm or crescent-shaped kibble, are not recommended. If you’re unsure whether your pet’s food is compatible, please contact us before ordering.
A full hopper can last approximately 30 days based on a typical 5 kg adult cat eating around 80 g of dry food per day.
Actual duration will vary based on factors such as kibble type, environment, and your pet’s breed, age, health, and eating habits. The Petlibro app tracks hopper levels and alerts you when food is running low.
We recommend replacing the desiccant every 14 days to help maintain food freshness. Two desiccant bags are required at a time.

No. Every Granary 2 Series feeder includes a built-in rechargeable backup battery. No separate battery purchase is required.
The Granary 2 provides up to 24 hours of backup battery life during a power outage. Granary 2 Vision, Granary 2 Vision Duo, and Granary 2 X provide up to 48 hours.
The battery is designed for emergency backup use only and is not intended as a primary power source.
During a power outage, Wi-Fi connectivity, camera functions, pet recognition, and feeding schedules will continue to operate normally.
Battery performance was measured under Petlibro laboratory conditions. Actual results may vary.
Yes. If the feeder goes offline, remote control through the app will be unavailable, but feeding schedules will continue to run automatically.
Granary 2 X can also continue performing pet recognition and automatic lid operation directly on the device.
Granary 2 X supports both recognition mode and manual mode.
During the adjustment period, you can manually control the lid to help your pet become familiar with the feeder. For pets that need more time to adapt, you can enable Always Open mode. In this mode, the lid remains open and closes only when a non-designated pet approaches.
No. The dispensing system is fully enclosed, helping prevent food from being released if the feeder is nudged, bumped, or shaken by a curious pet.
The Granary 2 X entrance is approximately 15 cm wide with an interior depth of 17.8 cm.
The opening was carefully designed to balance comfortable access for the designated pet while maintaining effective feeding access control. Based on our testing, pets can comfortably enter and exit the feeding area without becoming stuck.
Yes. Granary 2 X performs pet recognition directly on the device, so the lid can continue to open and close normally even when the feeder is offline.
Yes. Granary 2 Vision Duo uses a dual-channel dispensing system designed to distribute food evenly between both bowls, with a variance of less than 5% between sides.
Granary 2 is available in a single-bowl configuration only.
Granary 2 Vision can be used with either a single-bowl or dual-bowl setup using compatible accessories.
Granary 2 X uses its own dedicated feeding base and personalized feeding system.
Only the stainless-steel bowl and bowl holder are washable.
Do not rinse or submerge the area beneath the bowl holder, as it contains electronic components. If cleaning is needed, wipe the area gently with a damp cloth and allow it to dry completely before use.
Granary 2 can be used on most common flooring surfaces, including many types of carpet.
However, for the most accurate weight measurements, we recommend placing the feeder on a flat, stable surface. Avoid thick, soft, or uneven carpet that sinks noticeably under pressure, as this may affect weighing accuracy.
Granary 2 combines four key dimensions of feeding insight: gram-precision weighing, real-time AI camera monitoring, collar-free pet recognition, and long-term eating trends.
Each feature tells part of the story. Together, they help you better understand how your pet is eating and make it easier to spot meaningful changes over time.
Changes in appetite are often one of the earliest signs that something may be wrong, but a single day’s intake rarely tells the full story.
Granary 2 tracks meal amount, eating speed, and feeding frequency over time, then compares those patterns against your pet’s normal habits. If unusual changes are detected, such as a sustained drop in food intake, the app can alert you so you can take a closer look or consult your veterinarian.
Granary 2 builds on the Granary Smart Feeder with a built-in precision scale that tracks food intake at the gram level.
For the first time, you can see not only how much food was dispensed, but how much food was actually eaten.
Granary 2 Vision combines an AI-powered camera with a built-in precision scale, bringing visual monitoring and intake tracking together in one feeding record.
You can see your pet at mealtime while also tracking how much food was eaten.
Granary 2 Vision Duo adds independent weighing for each bowl, combined with multi-pet recognition, making it easier to track feeding activity across multi-pet households.
Its dual-channel dispensing system is also designed to distribute food evenly between both bowls.
Granary 2 X adds AI-powered pet recognition, allowing it to identify individual pets without collars or tags.
The motorized lid opens only for the assigned pet, making personalized feeding easier in multi-pet households.
Each bowl in the Granary 2 Series holds up to 6 portions, or approximately 1/2 cup of dry food.
Granary 2 X combines AI pet recognition with a motorized lid that opens only for the assigned pet.
Side panels around the feeding area also help limit access and shield from other pets. For best performance, we recommend creating a profile for each pet using clear photos from multiple angles to improve recognition accuracy.
In Smart Refill Mode, the built-in scale continuously monitors how much food remains in the bowl.
When food drops below your selected threshold, the feeder automatically dispenses more food while staying within your configured daily limit. This mode is ideal for pets that prefer to graze throughout the day.
The Granary 2 food tank is designed to help resist moisture and pests, though it is not a fully airtight enclosure.
For best results, we recommend using FD002 desiccant packs and replacing them regularly to help maintain food freshness.
Granary 2 Series feeders are designed for dry food only and are not intended for dispensing medication.
For medication schedules and administration, please follow your veterinarian’s recommendations.
